![]() Welcome to Vuireholme, the city of Eternal Stars In front of you lies a great mountain, whose peaks sunder the clouds. As you step onto the platform to be ushered to pinnacle, you are greeted by two large elves that appear to be far different then any elf you have either seen or read about. As the pulley elevator ascends the vast palisades you start to feel uneasy about the change in elevation and the bitter cold biting down one your nose, ears and hands. After a considerable duration you finally find yourself with you feet firmly planted on solid ground at last, staring at a magnificent gatehouse crafted out of what looks to be pure obsidian with an obsidian wall stretching out in both directions as far as you can see. As you approach the gatehouse an elf approaches you "Welcome to Vuireholme, City of the Drache. Where do you hail from on this glorious day", you quickly tell him and he turns to embed your name and origin within the walls of the gatehouse with a magic you have never seen before. Then as if out of nowhere a young elven girl appears to lead you through the gatehouse and into the city before you. Your precursor leads you out of the gate house your breath is taken away as two your left you see a dozen or so hulking citadels all crafted out of a unique crystal substance. Inscribed into the walls of these citadels are great runes of power that pulsate with arcane energy. While set atop each tower is a statue of an elf standing up to ten feet tall each. As you turn to ask the young girl what the monoliths are, she preemptively responds informing you that they are the estates of the sixteen high families. She then takes hold of your hand to walk you down the first row of estates for a closer look. As you make your way around the bend of the last spire you notice another five residences of magnificent design to the south and a grand staircase leading up to the north over a hundred feet to a massive temple that seems to be constructed out of one giant azure gemstone, behind the temple stands a fifty foot golden statue of a female Drache with small spines on her eyebrows (resembling a dragons), small curved horns a top her head, and great draconic wings sprouting from her back. The girl goes on to tell you that the residences to the south are the only places where people not of Drache blood live other then the caverns, and that to the north is the holy place for worship of Sterna Dracheseele, the Drache goddess, and that the statue is of Anfang the first mortal Drache and the founder of Vuireholme. She also mentions that there are small antechambers within the temple for the worship of the other deities and that it is the residence for the cities Hauptsaechlich or High Priest. You then turn to descend back down toward where your tour gave birth you see on the left the remaining citadels, once you reach the end of the road you are now facing a hundred or so small residences built out of a vibrant blue crystal not as deep as the temple but just as exquisite. The girl says "Here resides our upper class whom are not Highborn, shall we continue on to the palace"? While heading toward the palace the elven maiden points out the embassy to the west where ambassadors from each of the cities would be housed prior to the cataclysm, and tells you that now no one enters the building except to clean and maintain it for the day the city would return to the glorious hub of communication that it once was. Then she turns to the northeast and points out a great pyramid of and informs you that when it is time for your return home that this is where you will find the teleporters out of the city. To the left of the Shrine of Teleporters is a monumental palace crafted of what seems to be pure diamond. As you stand in complete awe of such a beautiful building the young lady tells you that this is where the cities Kaiser, Zauberer, Hauptsaechlich, and Ritter des Schutze meet every day to discuss the well being of the city, and that it is also where Aegir Koning, the current Kaiser, and his family are currently residing. She mentions that the palace is also where the visitor's center, audience chamber, court of highborn, and the courtrooms are. After spending twenty or so minutes at the palace she pushes you forward saying "Onward to our greatest achievement, the academies and library". Shortly down the road from the palace you come to a great garden courtyard circled by four buildings pulsing with arcane power and you feel as if you are standing within a great font of knowledge. "Here stand the academies of magic to the north, the Spires of Lehrling to the right for apprentices, the Zwischen Institute for intermediate students, and the Vorlagenmagier Alkazer which acts as both the residence of Inghram Geitmacht, the Zauberer, and a school for the cities masters of arcane art. Then behind us is the great library which is accessible by all citizens and visitors" says the girl. Then you turn back down the road once again to head to your next destination. When you reach the end of the road you turn left and are now standing in front of a large inn, "This is the Dragons Inn, where visitors tend to stay. It is also the cities only non private tavern" explains the elf. Then you begin to head up to the market catching out of the corner of your eye another gatehouse to the north, identical to the one you arrived at. On your way up to the market you see a few more residences to the east and a few workshops to the west. When you arrive at the market you find yourself in the middle of several building circling a obsidian fountain with flowing with a dark blue liquid filled with small, silver, star like, particles making it look like the night sky. To the north you see a cave with a staircase leading down into the top of the mountain, when you ask where it takes you, the girls responds by saying "Those are the cities caverns which house our the cities guilds, organizations, and armies. The caverns are also where the rest of the cities residences can be found and the ancient dragon caves". As you glance around from shop to shop you notice an abundance of magical weapons, armor and trinkets for sell, fine arts and crafts, and some exquisite clothing. After you finish surveying the market you return to the girl who greets you with a bow, saying "This is the end of the tour, May the Dreamer watch over and protect you in our great city" then in a flash of light the young elf fades away leaving you wondering if she was really there the whole time or if she was merely an illusion. . .
