![]() The legendary Platinum Drake is the most common mount in the kingdomw of Vuireholme. Platinum Drakes originated when the Drache used magic to combine one egg of each dragon in hopes to create a universal mount for the Drache to use in battle, and so the Platinum Drakes were born. In present time the city of Vuireholme houses approximately 200 of these drakes in their stables and many more owned by residents. The city also release three to four dozen dragon's a year into the area's around the kingdom. The released platinum drakes often take up residence in the surrounding mountains and survive off eating orcs and other enemies of the country. There are two organizations that are involved with the Platinum Drakes. The first is the Knights of the Dragon. These knights utilize the Platinum Drakes as mounts. The Knights of the Dragon are responsible for patrolling specific areas within the kingdom. They fly back and forth dispersing any threat to the people of Vuireholme. The second organization is the Dragon Tracker, it is the responsibility of the Dragon trackers to watch over and protect the draconic creatures of the region, including the Platinum Drakes. Platinum Drakes are large creatures that stand on four muscular legs, though they are most often seen flying, where they seem as regal and noble as an eagle. The dragons are reptilian in nature and are covered in thick platinum scales. The drakes resemble any of the true dragons with narrower legs and a shorter head. Their jaws come to a point and contain protruding fangs from the upper and lower halves. The creatures have a long lizard-like tail that they are often seen swaying back and forth. The creature stands at 5 feet tall and 14 feet long, the leather wings of noble creature span more twice the size of its body usually between 30 and 40 feet across.
